Come Walk With Us

  Every weekday, our Family Life Center is open from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM to anyone wishing to come in and walk. Exercise your way to better health.   Walk With Us!

Help Support Missions

  Our congregation strives to help our community by gathering non-perishable food items, clothing, household items, toys, and many other items essential to everyday living. They are donated to the Lutheran Mission of the Good Shepherd so families in the Kansas City area can live better.

Seen Any Good Movies Lately?

Several times each year our Family Life Center becomes an indoor "drive-in" movie theater. Join us as we enjoy a great film presentation, fun and fellowship. Tasty concessions featuring pizza, hotdogs, candy and popcorn are sold at rock-bottom prices during the film.   Best of all, movie admission is FREE!   We'll see you there!

Dinner Is Served

  Once each month a group of hungry adults go out into the city in search of the finest of food and fare. Our adult dinner club meets at a number of different restaurants for dinner and conversation. Prices vary through the lower and upper ranges, depending on location. If you're in need of a night on the town, join us!

We All Need A Pot-Blessing Sometimes

Every once in a while there's the occasion for everyone to eat together. We invite everyone to bring a dish or two, pull up to the table and fill themselves on food and fine conversation. There's no specific timing to these events, but they happen as often as we can plan them. Dig in!

Give Blood For Life

  The Community Blood Center visits Ascension Lutheran Church on a regular basis to collect blood donations from members of our congregation and our community. You're welcome to come and donate, anytime. Call the office for the next scheduled date and time.  And, if you donate blood, Thank You!
