A Biblical Jesus who...

... Points us toward eternal treasure (Matthew 6:19 - 21)

... Warns of sin, judgment and hell (Matthew 5:29)

... Commands repentance of sins (Matthew 4:17)

... gives you salvation, hope peace and joy (John 14 and John 15)

or a modern Jesus who ...

... was a good man and teacher

... waters down words to avoid offense

... promises Earthly treasure

... sends all to heaven, dismisses hell

... minimizes need for repentance of sins

... gives you health, wealth and happiness

As Lutherans, we believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We have been purchased with the blood of Jesus Christ, adopted as children into God's kingdom.
