Music

Our vocal choir is on hiatus, but we have an active Handbell Choir, Arpeggio (which means broken chords).  The eleven members play 3 octaves of Schulmerich handbells and Malmark chimes.

Arpeggio will resume September 13.  Our tentative schedule includes playing for both services about once a month with special music on festival observances.  We are also looking forward to participating in the Rezound! Techniques and Ringing Workshop on October 20.

Until then, enjoy our performance recordings below.

May 13:  Mother's Day - As the Deer                                                  by Martin Nystrom, arranged by Susan E Geschke

Notes from the composer:  On May 13, 2006, Lance Corporal Richard Zachary James, a graduate of the Seaford Christian Academy was killed while serving bravely in Iraq.  The Seaford Academy, together with the James family commissioned this setting of "As the Deer" to honor Rich's sacrifice for his country.
