"And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful."
Titus 3: 14 (NKJ)
Sunday school classes are offered for everyone at Ascension from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
Classes for the children and youth are in the lower level of the Family Life Center.
Two adult Sunday school classes are offered; one class, led by Pastor Lemmermann meets in the Fellowship Hall, and another class meets just across the hall from the Family Life Center entrance.
In the summer of 2008 we began offering a class for infants, toddlers, and their parents. Similar to a support group, they learn and discuss parenting techniques for the Christian family.
The classes for the elementary age children are using the "Growing In Christ" lessons available from Concordia Publishing House.
The junior youth class attends Confirmation study with Pastor Lemmermann during the week, but on Sunday morning they study from the "Growing In Christ" lessons.
The senior youth class studies life-impacting issues, such as; creation-evolution, making good life choices, understanding our faith, and witnessing to our peers. These studies use many resources including books, study guides, and DVD videos, with much discussion about current media outlets including the Internet.
A young Adult class is offered using the "Growing In Christ" series for adults.
